Job Description

Piran Composites are an advanced carbon fibre manufacturing company producing high specification components and structures for aerospace and defence OEMs.

Training will be provided for each task you will be expected to perform, however, ability to be able to work "hands on" with a background in engineering/manufacturing would be beneficial. Transferrable entry skills range from carpentry, welding, working with materials. Some examples of the tasks you will be performing below:

Main Tasks of the Job

Hand trimming and bonding a variety of carbon composite components to a very high degree of accuracy and quality Read and interpret technical engineering drawings including fits and tolerances Bonding of ultra lightweight composite aero structures Follow work instructions, engineering manuals and customer specifications Ensure parts meet the required customer quality and traceability standards Work within Health and Safety guidelines at all times Use and maintain all supplied personal protective equipment in good condition Maintain all company tools and equipment in a safe and clean workable condition Working to achieve production and quality targets set for the department Report non-conformities and quality related issues to the Production Engineer Being able to laminate pre-preg composite components is advantageous

-We are currently recruiting for evening shift which is 14:00pm-22:30pm. Monday- Friday

To succeed in this role you will require good communication skills, ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in correct methods, be a team player, good time keeping and be able to work under pressure but also in a relaxed environment. Experience and skill operating computers and MS office a plus.
