About the Role


The role includes reviewing client files under the supervision and direction of the Compliance Manager in relation to the MCS Cayman Office business and ensure that the Maples Group is at all times compliant with the provisions of relevant financial services legislation in the Cayman Islands.


Primarily, the Team Leader will:

Support providing leadership and supervision for the Compliance Analysts and Senior Compliance Analysts who are responsible for reviewing client matters to identify and evaluate AML / KYC requirements in line with their risk profile ensuring compliance with internal policies and current regulatory requirements Review that all cases are appropriately assigned and completed timely and that all communications within team inbox are responded and actioned timely Support development of training for Compliance Analysts and Senior Compliance Analysts to ensure understanding of regulatory obligations Support development of training for Analysts as may be required to ensure that processes and systems are used and followed consistently Establish strong communication and relationships with key stakeholders Monitor data accuracy for matters and lead remediation projects where required as may be appropriate Support reporting of key reporting indicators for key stakeholders Monitor day to day administration as well as team activities and monitoring team performance standards Provide close supervision of analysts, including four eye reviews as may be required Support ad hoc requests and projects as may be required from time to time

EXPERIENCE


What You Bring


In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

6 or more years of experience, working in legal services or professional services An advanced understanding of KYC and AML regulatory obligations Candidate must show strong attention to detail Be comfortable working with time constraints and deadlines Prior supervisory and management experience Be able to work with minimal supervision Be an effective communicator and confident in client interaction Strong organisational skills Bright, enthusiastic and quick learner Proactive and solutions driven Strong team player Enthusiastic and committed to pursuing a career in compliance Knowledge of offshore jurisdictions (Cayman)
