This is an exciting opportunity to work with the management team and undertake a variety of duties. We are looking for a full-time (Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm) Compliance Officer/Office Manager to join our team which will be a permanent position and training will be given. The position is suitable for remote working/working in the office or a hybrid of both.
Your main duties will include:
1. Overseeing administrative tasks and procedures - general office management and responsible to the partners.
2. Coordinating office activities and operations
3. Enforcing office policies and procedures
4. HR - staff management
5. Dealing with the annual professional indemnity renewal and CQS renewal
6. Compliance and Risk Management including conducting internal reviews and audits to ensure our firm complies with external regulatory and legal requirements aswell as our internal policies.
7. Researching and staying updated with the SRA rules
8. Assisting with creating and implementing organizational compliance programs
9. Arranging training for employees on compliance
The successful candidate will have good client service skills, effective communication, pay attention to detail and accuracy, have the ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise work, and will be presentable, reliable, flexible and adaptable. You must have good organisation skills, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above or equivalent are required. Knowledge of the use of IT is essential.
