We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Manager with commercial acumen to join our award winning family business, Beaverbrooks, based in Lytham St Annes.
As our new Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all areas of the business to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and provide recommendations for improvements that are commercially viable.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain the company risk register
Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses
Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risk
Collaborate with external auditors and advisers when needed
Review plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
Work with Learning and Development to keep e-learning compliance modules up to date
Keep abreast of legislative changes and business developments influencing compliance

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Ability to demonstrate the values and behaviours of the Beaverbrooks Way - The Beaverbrooks Way
Proven experience in a compliance role, ideally within retail, financial services, or a regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of UK regulations, including GDPR, consumer protection laws, and AML regulations.
A collaborative business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality and appropriate challenge.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate colleagues at all levels.
Analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence key stakeholders.
A passion for doing the right thing and maintaining high ethical standards.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
Experience within retail, financial services, or a regulated environment.
Certified Compliance qualification.
Experience of working with external audit.
