Kraken is committed to , , and through our products like , , and .Become a Krakenite and build the future of crypto!Proof of WorkThe Team:The Compliance Associate PWL, will sit within the UK Compliance Team and be responsible for ensuring the performance of operational financial crime and compliance controls and processes within the firm.The Opportunity:Assist with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, conducting testing and reporting results to the relevant committees on the results.Reviewing marketing and sales literature, performance presentations, and other advertising or educational materials for compliance with applicable UK laws and regulations including the financial promotions regime.Assisting with the handling of complaints in accordance with relevant requirements, if needed.Assistance with record keeping and admin requirements.Monitor internal and external business, regulatory and technology environments to identify new or emerging compliance risks and verify remediation of issues as applicableSupporting the UK team in responding to compliance related inquiries and due diligence requests from current or prospective banking partners.Assisting senior management within the UK Compliance team with ad hoc and project work.Monitor internal and external business, regulatory and technology environments to identify new or emerging compliance risks and verify remediation of issues as applicableCoordinate and liaise with Kraken Global Compliance to ensure alignment between global, regional and local compliance policies, procedures, and operations, if needed.Skills you should HODL:Compliance experience in a previous position at a regulated MiFiD investment firm or crypto exchange.Awareness of crypto regime developmentsExperience in compliance monitoring and testing.Knowledge of the financial promotions regime and COBS4.Practical knowledge of compliance risk management techniquesProactive, organised and comfortable with navigating ambiguityClear communication and able to translate compliance requirements to other departments.Comfortable with using data to inform decision makingExecution mindset#LI-Remote #LI-TN1Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives.
