Couchbase is looking for a hands-on, data-oriented Compensation Partner. You will own and partner on compensation initiatives broadly, along with another Compensation Partner, reporting to the Senior Director of Total Rewards. You will take specific ownership of your designated functional areas, working closely with the HR Business Partners and leaders for those areas and solidify Couchbase offerings.
REQUIREMENTS
Implement our rewards philosophy and principles in compensation-related decisions and processes
Play a key role to support the research, analysis, design, communication, and implementation of compensation programs
Contribute to the development of compensation bands based on market data
Act as a consultant and analyst on equity programs
Plan for and execute our compensation cycles in conjunction with the compensation and cross functional teams
Monitor, interpret and implement relevant changes related to government regulations/legislation
Partner and maintain strong relationships with HR Business Partners, Recruiters, Sales Compensation / Operations, Finance, Managers, and Leadership on compensation matters
Understand our employees' needs with regard to compensation, what feedback they have and how we can optimize for that
Design, develop and deliver educational material on compensation to build employee understanding of the value being offered to them
SKILLS
Circa 5+ years experience within a global compensation function
Have experience and an understanding of budgeting
Demonstrated robust understanding of compensation practices and market conditions across numerous countries and regions
A strong understanding of compensation best practices, current compensation trends, and market benchmark data
Proven analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
In-depth knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets including building and maintaining complex models
Experience communicating effectively across teams, including translating quantitative insights to non-quantitative audiences
Strong consultation and collaboration skills
Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Experience in UKG preferred
Bachelor's degree and compensation certification preferred
