Compass Associates are delighted to be working with one of the UK\'s largest clinical homecare companies in their search for a dedicated and passionate Nurse to join their team in the Birmingham area. The company work in partnership with local NHS trusts and hospitals along with private GPs to provide care to patients in the comfort of their own homes, avoiding the unnecessary re-admissions to hospitals and so promoting a smooth recovery and timely discharge for patients.

This is a community-based position meaning you will be expected to travel across the West Midlands, this area will cover the entirety of Birmingham. The role will entail administration of IV antibiotics, assessing patient\'s recovery and refer if needed, assisting patients with their daily activities and also assisting with any medications.

The Candidate

As an ideal candidate for this role, you will be a qualified RGN with at least 12 months post registration experience working in a clinical setting. You must be competent in the administration of IV therapies, venepuncture and administering sub-cut injections. Being able to cannulate is certainly preferrable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Working in the community you will be providing care to a very mixed caseload of patients so you must be able to communicate well, have a kind and empathetic nature and be able to work independently under pressure. You must also have a full UK driver\'s license.

Shifts

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week working 5 over 7 days \xe2\x80\x93 this will include some weekend working. Shift times are 7 am to 3 pm and 2 pm to 10 pm. Overtime is available for evening and weekend work.

Covering the entirety of Birmingham, this position would be commutable from areas such as Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Droitwich, Worcester, Leicester Stafford.
