DBS: Yes / Enhanced AdultsSubject to BPSS Checks: NoMedway Councilxe2x80x99s Library and Archives service is recruiting for enthusiastic, outgoing and customer focused Community Library Assistants to work as part of our team delivering mobile library and council services to schools and communities across Medway. Over 700,000 people visited Medway Libraries last year to access books and public computers, attend events and activities and access a wide range of council services.These are new roles operating the soon to be launched Pop-Up library service with responsibility for setting up and operating a remote temporary library in schools, community spaces, care homes, public spaces and events across Medway. This new service forms part of our outreach and community offer for libraries, working to extend library access to moreSuccessful candidates will have excellent customer service skills, be resilient, adaptable and comfortable working with large groups of children, families and adults. They must hold a full UK driverxe2x80x99s license and have a high level of physical fitness. Due to the requirement to work within schools and care homes as part of this role, successful postholders will need an enhanced DBS check with barred list check for children and adultsIn return we offer you:
