This is a great job opportunity for a Community Housing Assistant to join Home Group\xe2\x80\x99s awesome Central Resource Team in Durham. We provide cover for both supported accommodation and general need properties. As our Community Housing Assistant (CHA) you\xe2\x80\x99re the face-to-face customer support to our communities.

Typical day as our Community Housing Assistant

\xc2\xb7 Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you\xe2\x80\x99ll really get to get to know our communities.

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll support our housing managers to look after their patches and through this, help us to improve our local neighbourhoods.

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll support with tasks such as managing our voids processes which includes liaising with local authorities, estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site.

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.

\xc2\xb7 You\'ll support in accommodation services, providing low level support and completing housing management tasks.

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

You bring

\xc2\xb7 A real passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.

\xc2\xb7 Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and external partners.

\xc2\xb7 An understanding of housing management, housing law and universal credit would be ideal, but they\xe2\x80\x99re not deal breakers!

\xc2\xb7 The ability to use technology to navigate our systems and update customer records.

\xc2\xb7 An appreciation that this is a role where you\xe2\x80\x99ll spend much of your time lone working in our local estates.

Job details

\xc2\xb7 This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you\xe2\x80\x99ll spend your days working from our communities in County Durham and/or working in the accommodation services in the area.

\xc2\xb7 We work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers.

\xc2\xb7 To get from A to B, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we\xe2\x80\x99ll pay your mileage!

\xc2\xb7 You\xe2\x80\x99ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
