Altrincham Football Club Community Sports is a registered charity dedicated to enhancing community engagement through sports and social activities. Located at the J. Davidson Stadium, we provide programmes that support the local community including sports coaching for local children, health & wellbeing programmes, Outreach programmes and an extensive disability sports programme thanks to grant funding and fundraising efforts.
Summary
We are seeking a Community Engagement Officer to join our dynamic team at Altrincham Football Club Community Sports. This role is pivotal in promoting community engagement through sports and educational initiatives, contributing to the development of local youth while fostering a sense of community.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate community sports programs and activities for local schools.
Educate participants on the importance of physical health and well-being.
Manage projects related to community engagement and fundraising initiatives.
Lead outreach efforts to increase participation in community events.
Utilise social media platforms to promote events and engage with the community.
Assist in administrative tasks related to program planning and execution.
To undertake a lead role in the delivery of various community projects including school delivery.
To deliver all aspects of coaching/training/mentorship within the projects.
Deliver all project related activities in accordance with the targets, ensuring minimum requirements are met.
Deliver sessions that ensure individuals and groups of participants are motivated, stretched and challenged at appropriate levels across all interventions
Increase the awareness and popularity of the projects via effective publicity and promotion.
Help participants to develop confidence and competence by modelling good practice and acting as a mentor
Undertake other duties and responsibilities as required by the charity from time to time
To work with and support service users and fan groups to identify and overcome barriers to participation amongst target audiences, through the development of positive and beneficial working relationships with service users.
Requirements
Proven experience in supervising community programs or similar roles.
Strong educational background in sports management, education, or related fields.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a passion for community service.
Experience in fundraising and marketing is advantageous.
Minimum FA Level 2/UEFA C Qualification
Full UK Driving License, Car owner with Business insurance
Strong understand of safeguarding, health & Safety & Risk assessments
