Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and culturally fluent
Community Engagement Manager
to help grow our membership, produce exceptional events, and cultivate strategic partnerships, all while making a real difference in the community. This role is critical to DEN's local and global initiatives and offers a unique opportunity to lead with purpose, creativity, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Acquisition & Engagement
Lead outreach and networking efforts to recruit new members and Brand Ambassadors.
Foster member satisfaction and retention through personalized support and community building initiatives.
Promote DEN at local events, community committees, and other opportunities to increase visibility and relevance.
Event Production & Programming
Plan, coordinate, and execute monthly member-only salons and annual community fundraising events.
Collaborate with Brand Ambassadors, creatives, and partners to ensure culturally resonant and mission-aligned event programming.
Advise on tone, visuals, and audience engagement strategies for all events and activations.
Partnership Development
Manage and nurture relationships with local brand partners, creatives, nonprofits, and community organizations.
Align partnerships with DEN's core pillars: arts, economic development, and health & wellness.
Sales, Marketing, & Communications
Create and review marketing campaigns and promotional content for cultural sensitivity and strategic impact.
Develop campaigns to drive membership sales and achieve recruitment and revenue targets.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze membership metrics, event performance, and partnership success, delivering regular insights and recommendations to headquarters.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
Experience in community engagement, event production, membership management, and/or sales (REQUIRED).
Deep understanding & knowledge of our target audience, its greater community, and its businesses & economic landscape.
Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Monday Project Management & CRM tools.
Compensation Package
We offer a unique and entrepreneurial compensation structure that rewards your leadership and impact:
25% net revenue share from Monthly Salon Events.
20% commission on membership sales.
Up to $3,500 budgeted line item + bonus per annual Signature Event.
Estimated Monthly Earnings
: $5,500 based on a 10-hour work week.
Note
: This is an
independent contractor
position. No hourly/base salary. No visa sponsorship provided.
Candidate must reside in the local Host City market.
