The Community Engagement Manager is central to our efforts to support the communities we serve, beyond our core broadband network. A key role in devising and executing the Highland Broadband Go To Market (GTM) strategy. The role handles both planning, covering settlement level geo-targeting and sales and marketing strategy as well as being a key part in execution. Covering both residential and business, the role identifies key targets for sponsorships, community engagement and 'lighthouse' businesses and sets timelines across the year against which the sales and marketing teams execute. Success is measured by install penetration, project by project.

Manage local community engagements including sponsorship opportunities, community hubs, schools, sports clubs and community groups. Establish and manage skills training programs with local education providers, with the objective of sourcing employees from within region. Increase Highland Broadband awareness and positive sentiment within target communities, identifying projects where our support adds real local value. Engage with communities proactively, in person and through online community groups. Manage affiliate programs, ensuring local activity supports further uptake of Highland broadband services. Review and report on activity, building a knowledge bank of programs and success rates. Create PR value through local partnerships and positive news stories.


To succeed you will need to be a community-focussed leader with a desire to build strong partnerships and have:

Experience managing community engagement and outreach activity. Strong verbal / written communication skills. Leadership skills with ability to motivate and mentor a field based team. Ability to communicate with all levels within a community from MPs to group admins. Strong planning skills to manage resources effectively across the regions. Strong commercial acumen and good analytical skills to be able to measure success. * Full Drivers licence
