Communications Engineering Lead
Job Description
Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Communications Engineering Lead to join their existing team in Bristol, hybrid working on a 6 month contract.
The Role
As a Communications Engineering Lead, you will be accountable for the creation of compliant solution designs, working together with the under the direction of the Lead System Architect and alongside System Engineering Manager. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Providing in-depth technical expertise and system design ownership, collaborating with other SMEs.
- Overseeing other engineers producing detailed specifications, designs and other deliverables
- Leading technical interactions with suppliers in conjunction with Supply Chain.
You
To succeed within the role of a Communications Engineering Lead, you\'ll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:
- Degree or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering or HNC/HND with equivalent, relevant experience
- Experience of voice and data traffic handling and switching systems VCCS (Voice Communications Control System) & CCS (Integrated Communications Control System)
- Voice and data comms technologies and protocols such as SIP/RTP, ED-137, serial, IP, TDM
Please note that due to security nature of this role, candidates must be British nationals with live and transferrable SC clearance used in the last 12 months.
