Do you have a passion for creating varied, dynamic content that truly engages an audience?
Are you interested in using your talents to make a positive difference to primary age children and support Rocksteady's mission to remove barriers to music education?
We're looking for an experienced communications champion to create compelling content that supports Rocksteady's key objectives and engages B2B and B2C audiences. You'll love writing all types of content, including blog posts, press releases, social media posts, web pages, printed resources and more. You're just as comfortable writing copy for a social media campaign as you are pitching a story you've sourced and written to a journalist.
Experience writing for the education sector or parent-facing brands would be beneficial, though not essential. What is most important is that you can understand the perspective of schools, parents, children, musicians and our employees, and can communicate with all these audiences effectively. This role reports to the communications manager but works across the whole marketing team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience writing for both B2B and B2C audiences and confident creating varied content for different audiences across multiple communications channels.
Experience working on social media and writing copy for different audiences across key platforms.
A creative thinker with a passion for storytelling. Able to create compelling narratives, adhering to our brand tone of voice, across traditional and digital media.
Identifying opportunities for organic media coverage and developing press releases, as well as drafting LTTs and media responses when required.
An understanding and interest in AI tools and how these can support you in the role and the wider marketing team.
Role
Support Rocksteady's communications manager across all company communications, ranging from identifying and managing reputational risks to creating parent-facing marketing collateral.
Work across growth and engagement in the marketing team to support key departmental deliverables and workstreams.
Support exciting communications campaigns (working with others in the business) to drive brand awareness and engagement with educational leaders and influencers. Oversee social media posts and online community engagement.
Support colleagues across the organisation to communicate effectively and professionally with key stakeholders, adhering to Rocksteady's tone of voice.
Attributes
Experience of working in a similar role would be beneficial, working for a fast-growing company and comfortable building relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread your own and other people's copy. Understand the importance of nuanced communications to adapt comms for multiple audiences.
Comfortable working on multiple projects at once, managing your time autonomously and prioritising workload.
A team player who truly believes in music's power to transform children's lives.
Benefits
Full-time, permanent position - 35 hours per week. 25 days holiday, plus all UK bank holidays.
Work in our office which is a beautiful, converted manor house in rural Hampshire with vast grounds complete with its own lake and orchard.
Personal development opportunities.
Benefits package, including discounts on many everyday purchases, free 24/7 GP and Employee Assistance service, concierge and more.
