With our focus on growth in the UK and Europe, now is the perfect time to join us on this high-speed journey.The best things about the job:In this role there is scope to be creative and dynamic - we welcome someone with a self-starting attitude who loves to stay on the pulse of the cultural agenda, piggyback news and land coverage.You'll be part of a tight-knit, highly creative and supportive comms team based mainly in the UK, who work closely together to brainstorm and problem-solve to drive results.You'll have exposure/get to shadow a broad spectrum of PR activity from policy comms to consumer, across multiple marketsDrafting comments, media alerts and supporting on press releases - pulling media target lists and pitching to journalists.Working on campaigns, projects and initiatives to support the team's objectives.Supporting at PR activations/stunts and events.Staying on the pulse of the news agenda and PR industryPR reporting - supporting on pulling together presentations to share with the wider business.Participating in ideation to help drive consideration and brand love for Trainline.Press inbox management - initial triage on queries and appropriate escalation.Using Trainline's self-serve data tools to mine extracts which could be used in media materials and outreach.Budget tracking and contract managementWorking ad-hoc to support the wider Comms and Corporate Affairs functions.QualificationsPreferred experience in:4+ years' experience working in PR/Comms (consumer and/or corporate), preferably in an agency or in-house as part of a proactive press office teamDeveloping press materials and pitching to mediaWorking in a fast-paced environment, highly motivated with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritise own workloadKnowledge of UK mediaDesired experience:Working with, or for, a tech or travel companyCapabilities:Strong writing skills and a keen eye for detailA genuine interest to stay up to date with the latest news and trends; culturally tuned in and inquisitiveA self-starting attitude, and you'll need to be organised and a team playerEnglish speaking to native levelAdditional InformationEnjoy fantastic perks like private healthcare & dental insurance, a generous work from abroad policy, 2-for-1 share purchase plans, extra festive time off, and excellent family-friendly benefits.We prioritise career growth with clear career paths, transparent pay bands, personal learning budgets, and regular learning days.
