Full time - 35 hours per week

Fixed term for one year in the first instance

We are looking for a Communication & Recruitment Co-ordinator to join the Generation Scotland team.

The opportunity:

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Appropriate degree in a scientific discipline, with relevant post-graduate experience. A PhD or equivalent professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with design and implementation of processes and materials for the recruitment and retention of patients/healthy volunteers to research studies, and of the associated collection of data and samples, e.g. in clinical trials, social science or population-based studies.
  • Experience of public engagement, Patient and Public Involvement and event organisation.
  • Experience of science communications including communicating complex scientific concepts to the public and working with the press.
  • Excellent management and organisational skills with the ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks, prioritise to meet deadlines, and to solve problems as they arise with minimum supervision.
