Duties
- Assist in food preparation and production in a Nursing Home
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation to maintain freshness of ingredients
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, following proper sanitation procedures
- Support the kitchen team in executing service during peak hours
Experience
- Previous experience in a Nursing Home environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain composure
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Understanding of different cooking techniques and flavor profiles
