We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis to join our culinary team. As a Commis, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Support in the production of high-quality dishes, following recipes and presentation standards.
Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies appropriately.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
Contribute to menu planning by providing feedback on dishes and suggesting improvements.
Skills
Strong passion for cooking and the culinary arts, with a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Basic understanding of food production processes and techniques.
