Hours: \xe2\x80\x93 Standard hours - Monday to Friday 08.30 to 17.00, with alternate Saturdays - 8.30 to 12.30 at overtime rate of time/half

The role of Commercial Vehicle Technician is really important to us. You will be responsible for servicing and repairing Commercial Vehicles to approved standards.

What do we expect of you?

• The following responsibilities are core to the effective performance of all Technicians.

• Accuracy of work is a priority in all responsibilities.

• Protect customer vehicles with covers and dustsheets etc.

• Ensure that the vehicles worked on are carefully handled and that all reasonable care is taken of the vehicle whilst it is on the premises for repair or service.

• Ensure vehicles are road tested in a safe and professional manner with due regard to speed limits, road law, other road users and pedestrians.

• Make use of Special Tools, Specialist Service and Diagnostic Equipment to improve workshop efficiency.

• Ensure effective use of technical knowledge/skills enabling effective, economic and safe servicing of customer vehicles.

Criteria:

• Relevant City & Guilds/NVQ qualifications
• Recent experience working with modern commercial vehicles
• A practical knowledge of diagnostic equipment/techniques
