Salary: Up to 65,000 depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within the Tunbridge Wells & Flimwell Agency.
About the role:
This is a newly created role within the agency, reflecting our ambitious plans for growth and the expansion of our commercial sales team. The Commercial Sales Executive (Mid Corporate) will be responsible for generating and securing new business opportunities in the commercial space, with a focus on policies with premiums exceeding 10,000.
The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering the agency's sales strategy and sector development, helping to drive sustainable and profitable growth in line with NFU Mutual's strategic objectives:

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development
Deliver personal sales targets by identifying, prospecting, and securing new commercial clients in the mid-corporate space.
Sector Focus
Target growth in key commercial sectors including:
o Motor Trade
o Manufacturing
o Building and Allied Trades
o Property Owners
o Retail
o Wholesalers
o Fleet
Sales Planning & Execution
Plan and execute sales strategies using relevant market research, sector knowledge, and competitor insight to identify and convert opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, delivering tailored insurance solutions that meet clients' needs and exceed expectations.
Cross-Selling
Proactively identify opportunities to introduce and refer NFU Mutual's wider proposition, including:
o Financial Services (Protection, Pensions & Investments)
o Risk Management Services
o Health & Safety Consultancy
Marketing & Profile Building
Represent the agency at events, shows and sector-specific marketing campaigns, contributing to local visibility and sector engagement.
Compliance & Quality
Operate at all times within the compliance, conduct and regulatory framework as set out by NFU Mutual. Maintain high standards of advice and ensure documentation and processes are always audit-ready.
Collaboration & Communication
Work collaboratively with the wider agency team and NFU Mutual colleagues to support agency growth and deliver joined-up customer service.
Development & Learning
Take responsibility for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, regulatory changes, market trends and sales skills.
About you:
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven track record of successful commercial insurance sales
Experience dealing with mid to high premium cases (10,000+)
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and deliver against targets
Commercial awareness and understanding of client needs across relevant sectors
Professional, organised and customer-focused approach
Commitment to compliance and delivering good customer outcomes
Desirable
Experience working within or alongside NFU Mutual or similar agency model
Knowledge of relevant industry sectors (motor trade, construction, fleet, etc.)
Cert CII or working towards industry qualifications
