Tesco Commercial Manager

Home based role

ABOUT THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the Commercial team within our Poultry and Value Added Divisions. As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for our Value Added, Cooked/ Ready to Eat Meats, Turkey and Frozen product ranges.

This offers an excellent opportunity for someone to be part of new phase of our Tesco account and help deliver growth.

Due to the accounts size and potential, you\'ll get exposure you would not get at other businesses and a Line Manager that wants people to be trying to progress to "bigger & better" things in the business.

You will use market data to support commercial arguments to deliver objectives by working closely with the Category and Sales teams.

You will be the main point of contact with the retail account, spending time with their team to build a deep understanding of their needs and opportunities.

This is a key role to the business as you will be involved in commercial negotiations, delivering agreed business plans and building relationships with key decision makers within the account.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Deliver budgeted commercial targets.
  • Building strong, collaborative, and progressive relationships across customer & internal functions.
  • Deliver results through sound planning, process, discipline and focus on execution.
  • As part of the commercial team support and drive the wider commercial strategy and functional development plans.
  • Continue to deliver excellent growth on the Tesco account

  • Must have experience with Tesco
  • Be able to demonstrate successes while working with Tesco and your role in this
  • Strong communication skills, quality focused and commercially minded.
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to interpret data to deliver meaningful solutions
  • Experience of delivering projects which work towards the overall strategy
  • Work on own initiative, is flexible, positive and confident
