Job Summary

Are you ready for an exciting new opportunity as our Commercial Management Accountant?

This role is a key role in the Kenny's Group which includes 6 convenience stores, Greens Foodfare (Lisburn), Kenny's online Home Delivery Wine store and a property portfolio.

Based in our new Head Office in Kilrea, this is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional to take on a commercially focused role providing timely financial information to the MD. This position requires a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.

The Role:

Financial Reporting:

Preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

Performance Analysis:

Monitoring and analysing the company's financial performance, identifying trends, and highlighting areas for improvement.

Management:

co-ordinating a small finance office team

Communication:

Effectively communicating financial information with key stakeholders across retail and property divisions

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assisting in the development of budgets and forecasts to support decision-making and optimize profitability

Cost Management:

Identifying and recommending cost-reduction strategies.

Auditing:

Conducting departmental audits and providing information for external audits.

Strategic Planning:

Providing financial data and analysis to support and collaborate in strategic planning and decision-making.

Financial System Development:

Developing and maintaining financial systems and policies.

The Ideal Candidate - Experience

Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), part-qualified, or qualified by experience A minimum of 5 years commercial management accountancy experience Strong commercial acumen with experience in retail or property development Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to influence and support strategic decision-making Experience of managing a team
