The legal team at Forvis Mazars in the UK sits within the broader Business Services team and plays an important role as a trusted advisor to the business applying legal expertise with a commercial mindset.



The legal team is a key collaborator with client facing teams and other support teams, such as, procurement and finance. The legal team is responsible for contentious and non-contentious matters and is a team of 10 lawyers with a diverse background of experience.

The Role

We are seeking a commercial solicitor/legal counsel looking to take the next step in their career in a dynamic role within our supportive team. The role will focus on being a fully integrated trusted adviser, enabling excellent service delivery whilst managing risk to the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Providing the business with commercial, legal and risk management advice and support through the lifecycle of a client engagement Reviewing, drafting and negotiating all commercial contracts with clients and suppliers including engagement letters, master services agreements, NDAs, hold harmless letters; Providing support on other legal and risk management initiatives including through building eminence, creating and delivering training to the business, enhancing existing processes and updating contract templates as well as supporting junior members of the team



Person Specification


Qualified solicitor with 4-8 years post qualification experience. Able to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge. Experience of working in-house in a professional services practice or in financial services is preferred although not essential. Strong communication skills are required together with the ability to work under time pressure and to deadlines. Ensures client expectations and issues are understood, developing collaborative relationships
