About the Role



As we continue to grow, our finance team is evolving to support the expansion of the company. We are scaling up key business processes, introducing advanced technology, and strengthening our team to ensure long-term success.

The Commercial FP&A Lead is a new and exciting role designed to drive financial insight and empower the business with data-driven decision-making. This role will play a key part in commercial areas such as pricing and trend analysis, while also leading budgeting and forecasting processes. Following the recent integration of the Commercial and Finance teams, this role will enhance collaboration and ensure aligned reporting.

Key Responsibilities



Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will:

Partner with the Head of Commercial to provide pricing and profitability analysis for products and business segments, identifying trends and opportunities. Develop and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance. Work closely with teams across the business, including Product Engineering, UX, Marketing, and Operations, to understand financial implications of business activities. Create and maintain financial reports and dashboards using visualization tools, making insights accessible for financial and non-financial stakeholders. Lead the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial projections, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting. Oversee the collection, validation, and interpretation of data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability, supporting informed business decisions. Collaborate with the Management Accounts team to ensure FP&A reporting aligns with monthly management accounts. Manage and develop a team of two, supporting their growth and conducting regular performance reviews. Provide ad hoc financial reporting as needed for key stakeholders.

Essential skills



At least 5 years of experience in a finance function, ideally within FP&A or a commercial finance role. Experience in leading and developing teams, using collaboration and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges. Experience working in a multi-currency environment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs, SUMIFS, and pivot tables. Strong communication skills, with a track record of building relationships across cross-functional teams.. Experience handling large datasets and strong financial modelling skills. A proactive mindset, with experience in driving change and continuous improvement. Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Desirable skills



Full / Part Qualified in a finance professional qualification i.e. ACCA/CIMA Work experience in e-commerce and/or using BNPL providers Familiarity with business intelligence tools and creating financial reports or dashboards. Knowledge of UK GAAP accounting principles.
