Marks Sattin are working in partnership with an exciting and fast paced Food Production business with a reputable brand to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. As a member of the Senior Management Team the Commercial Finance Manager will provide key support to the General Manager and wider SMT to drive commercial and strategic decision making.

The Commercial Finance Manager will be an excellent leader and will be responsible for the finance team at the Regional Site. You will maintain a continuous improvement approach and drive optimum performance across the business area and ensure strong relationships with the central finance and other regional teams.

The responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager will include:

• Leading, managing and developing the on-site finance team
• Overisght of the monthly management accounts, variance analysis, Board reports and commentary to the Senior Management Team
• Budgeting and forecasting for the site with continuous analysis of financial changes
• Generating weekly and monthly performance reports to deadlines
• Facilitating the root cause analysis of spend/budgets to support the operations function
• Capital project approval & investment appraisal
• Building strong working relationships with the central finance team and operational management
• Acting as day-to-day point of contact for all Logistics Finance enquiries on site
• Challenging non-finance professionals both day-to-day and in Board meetings

To be considered you must:

• Be a Qualified accountant (CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA)
• Have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with Senior Managers and functional Directors
• Strong analytical skills required in order to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance
• Be a proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint user
• Have at least intermediate ERP Systems knowledge
• Be able to work autonomously
• Have experience within a fast paced environment
• Have staff management experience
• Be able to work from the business offices a minimum of 4 days per week
