Job Description

Menwell Ltd (the company behind Manual.co and JoinVoy.com) are looking for an exceptional and innovative Commercial Counsel. You'll have high levels of autonomy and ownership, collaborating across departments in a rapidly expanding health-tech company.


We need a strong all-rounder who wants to build out a fast growing business. You'll leverage technology to manage deals at scale, delivering quality work in a fast paced environment. What you'll do



Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts, including medicinal product supply agreements, employment contracts, and commercial leases. We're particularly interested in leveraging technology (including AI) to support these areas. Developing and implementing best practices in contract management, tools, and templates. Managing investor and supplier due diligence (AML, Anti-Bribery) Managing company regulatory compliance, including the Modern Slavery Act and ESG obligations. Turning your hand to broader commercial work like M&A transactions and regulatory challenges. Developing and maintaining standard terms and conditions for the company. Preparing insurance submissions for annual renewals and managing the group's insurance program Delivering in-house training on legal risks and significant legal and regulatory changes. Project management, including coordinating with external counsel and consultants on company initiatives. Providing advice on various day-to-day legal and business issues, including other commercial matters as they arise.

Who you are



Qualified as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales, or other common law jurisdiction, or equivalent experience. 3 years' professional experience (preferably within a full-service law firm or in-house). Experience in healthcare or other regulated industry. Strong skills in drafting and reviewing contractual documents and related legal knowledge. Ability to influence and navigate challenging situations. Pragmatic, commercially minded approach to legal problem solving. Interest in leveraging technology to deliver scalable legal solutions for the business. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust at all levels. Capacity to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and delivering results under pressure.
