What does your typical day look like?

You will be responsible for the high growth distribution in the UK as Finance Lead.

Other key actions will be but not limited to:

• Act as Finance Lead to provide financial insight, challenge and understanding into planning processes to drive optimum development of business plans
• Execute monthly and year-end closing activities, performing variance analysis (products, margins, overheads, advertising investments, etc.)
• Support the sales team by providing accurate data and commentary on performance.
• Guarantee commercial cost control and defines related action plans
• Control performances at customer / channel level
• Pro-active customer and product profitability analysis including insight and recommendations.
• Ensure strong financial compliance
• Review and implement consistent ways of working and continuous improvement within commercial finance and the teams you support
• Pro-actively engage with the business on new ideas and improvement opportunities
• Support finance projects as required, including acquisitions and embracing technology to seek operational efficiencies
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on financial analysis / modelling of commercial opportunities and decision support

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

• Qualification in Accountancy essential
• 1-2 years PQE experience
• Experience in an FMCG environment desirable with knowledge of FMCG end to end business processes
• Knowledge of SAP Operating Systems desirable
• Advanced Excel skills
• Business acumen
• Ability to work to changing deadlines
• Organisation, communication, planning and influencing skills
