Our client is an official Renault and Isuzu Truck dealer with a proud legacy spanning over 70 years. Known for delivering trusted commercial vehicle solutions, they are embarking on an exciting new phase of growth and development backed by significant investment. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Accountant to join their leadership team.
This is a newly created role designed to support their continued business growth. Working closely with the Managing Director, the Commercial Accountant will take the lead on credit control and purchasing functions while playing a pivotal role in improving the infrastructure of the finance function. This includes streamlining systems, optimising processes, and delivering key financial insights that will shape strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage existing credit lines. Identify, establish, and negotiate new credit facilities to support business needs.
Take ownership of daily cashflow management.
Produce detailed budgets and financial models for internal and external stakeholders.
Establish and uphold robust financial policies and procedures.
Oversee management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow with variance analysis.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare monthly reporting packs for Board presentation.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Ensure timely VAT submissions and assist with corporation tax analysis.
About You
ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with a solid track record in financial management.
Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to deliver under pressure.
Proactive and confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
