Command and Control Operator
London

As a Barclays Command and Control Operator, you will be part of a 24/7/365 team within the Joint Operations Centre providing the EMEA geographical region with a suitably qualified presence to command and control physical security incidents. You will have the opportunity to provide specialist security advice to our colleagues and stakeholders, the monitoring of the remote technical security systems.

What will you be doing?

• Being part of the EMEA Physical Security team providing the monitoring and response services that deliver world class protection to our people, premises and assets
• Responding to Physical Security incident responses throughout EMEA
• Triaging and providing a coordinated and agreed response as the Initial Incident Commander and, escalating to Physical Security managers and operational colleagues
• Effective management of alarm activations/de-activations, CCTV monitoring and security support to remote EMEA locations
• Ensuring the JOC (PS) team can maintain and demonstrate regulatory compliance and fulfil its obligations to internal stakeholders, external customers and appropriate authorities
• Working with CSO Physical Security global and regional management colleagues, and other CSO functions within the JOC, to coordinate and provide timely security solutions
• Ensuring service offerings satisfy and exceed Stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 requirements and expectations

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Proven experience operating as part of a team in a high pressure environment with experience of commanding and controlling Physical Security incidents
• Confidence and ability to remain calm, controlled and focused in pressure situations
• The ability to identify operational risks and issues in a fast time environment, and take/lead proportionate and appropriate actions
• A good knowledge of security processes and technologies including; Threat Analysis, Vulnerability Assessment, Security Monitoring, Compliance Auditing

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Proven ability to compose timely briefing reports based on complex data with accuracy, brevity, and speed whilst reporting to the highest levels of the organisation
• A good knowledge of, and keen interest in, geopolitics, international security and current affairs
• A thorough knowledge of the Physical Security Environment within the FIS

Where will you be working?

The Incident management function provides a 24/7 capability across its three locations. The London team covers the core hours of 07:00 to 19:00 or 19:00 \xe2\x80\x93 07:00 (local) through a split shift pattern which runs 7 days a week from its Canary Wharf operations room. Note this role is office based.
