CNC Programmer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of CNC machinery and programming, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient production of high quality components, utilising advanced tooling and fabrication techniques. A background in an engineering environment is essential.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimise CNC programmes for various machining operations including milling and assembly. Interpret engineering drawings to create precise machining instructions. Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring all tooling is correctly installed and calibrated. Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Communicate effectively with colleagues to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes. Utilise basic maths skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements. Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to machine components for various sectors and using a range of materials. Familiarity with tooling techniques is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high quality work. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
