Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of mechanical processes. The CNC Operator will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines. Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to determine machining requirements. Use basic maths skills to calculate dimensions, tolerances, and other specifications. Fabricate components using hand tools and mechanical equipment. Assemble parts as required, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Handle materials safely, ensuring proper storage and disposal in compliance with regulations. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate logic controllers effectively. Proficiency in using CAD software for interpreting designs. Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential. Excellent skills in materials handling, ensuring safe practices are followed at all times. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail. Basic maths skills are essential for this role.
