- CNC Machinist

Overview of functions:

To work within our CNC workshop production team, manufacturing precision components for Macintyre core product line and for advanced engineering sectors. Being part of a progressive engineering company that pursues excellence in all that we do, utilising some of the latest machinery and manufacturing techniques.

Organisational Relationships:

Reporting directly to the CNC Workshop Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

Must demonstrate ability to operate various including CNC lathes, CNC machining centres & CNC horizontal borers.

Improvise, adapt, and design standard tooling.

Candidate must be computer literate with knowledge of applications related to machining.

Recognizes improper machine functioning and recognizes defects in machinery, measuring instruments or equipment.

Perform additional operations as required (e.g, deburring) while CNC is running.

Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.

Knowledge of machine setup and G codes.

Maintain a clean work area and machine at all times in accordance with our HSE standards.

Report discrepancies in job route times or dimensional drawings as soon as they are identified.

Successful Candidates will have some of the following skills and experience:

Ability to use precise measuring tools such as micrometres, verniers, thread gauges and callipers.

Application and understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.

Machine programming language Mazatrol / Fanuc / NUM / Heidenhain.

3 years minimum post apprenticeship experience.

Must have excellent maths skills, including geometry.

Must have completed a CNC modern apprenticeship.

Production-machinery maintenance.

Metalworking and machine tooling.
