As a Cloud Security Architect Lead you will join us on our journey and undertake a highly visible role responsible for the technical security decisions for the Post Office Cloud Platform.

You will have the exciting opportunity to design and underpin Secure Cloud Platform capabilities to meet current Post Office requirements.

A critical responsibility of the Cloud Security Architecture Lead will be supporting the Post Office Cloud Platform team and development teams in the secure development of our new IT solution for the future Post Office branch estate.

You will be working closely alongside senior leaders in the Cloud Security and Architecture teams and across the business to help implement the purpose and strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Senior Cloud Security Architect. As a leader, you will demonstrate the ability to recruit, onboard and empower your team during this period of change. You will possess:

First-class communication skills with the ability to collaborative and influence

Extensive knowledge and experience of cloud security, across all major cloud providers (ie, Azure and AWS), and its associated secure CI/CD standards and practices, providing defence in depth and agility.

Extensive experience in working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), its products feature and capabilities including but not limited to IAM, SSO, Config, Lambda, Trusted Advisor, Inspector, Security Hub, Cognito, GuardDuty, KMS, Shield, etc as well as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services covering the typical SLDC

Strong understanding of relevant Industry Principles, Best Practices, and Standards, such as PCI, NIST, ISO, NCSC 14 Cloud Principles.

Strong experience with a broad range of security technologies including NextGen Firewalls, DLP, IDS/IPS, IdAM, Certificate Management, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, Anti-malware, vulnerability management.
