Job overview The post holder will work closely with the wider workforce team as part of the Institute of Care Excellence to ensure health care assistants, health care assistant apprentices and trainee Nursing Associates are recruited, trained, supported and proactively encouraged to acquire essential clinical skills that enables them to successfully complete the trainee nursing associate course. The post holder will work closely with clinical areas to ensure that staff are competent, safe, compassionate, well-trained, caring and put the patient first and foremost always. The post holder will be an excellent communicator, establish positive working relationships quickly at all levels of the organisation and manage a busy workload, responding to conflicting priorities as required. In addition they will be able to problem solve and escalate concerns as required, acting as positive and well-represented role model at all times. The post holder will have a key role in supporting the institute of care excellence with widening participation with outside agencies and across the integrated care system. The post holder will be based between all NUH sites and must be able to travel to education providers and to support corporate events if and when they occur. The post holder must be able to work flexibly to meet the demands of the training programme.
Main duties of the job Please refer to the job description and person specification documents attached to this advert. You will work as part of the Institute Wider Workforce team who provides support for students and placement areas and deliver educational programmes for healthc care assistants, health care assistant apprentices and trainee nursing associates. Responsibilities will include: Working clinically with a variety of learners Delivering clinical and educational programmes (AHLS/ Medical device training, care certificate, HCA Academy, speclaisted units in collaboration with Nottingham College and Nottingham Trent University) in both classroom and clinical settings. Developing and supporting a health care assistant preceptorship, supervisoring and and assessing staff in practice to adhere to the Trust and national guidelines giving appropriate guidance. Working in collaboration with clinical nurse educators and senior nursing teams to ensure a supportive learning environment.
