The UCL Division of Surgery and Interventional Science is a collaborative and cross-disciplinary environment where clinicians, scientists, engineers, allied health professionals and researchers are constantly striving for innovative approaches to treatment and evaluation. Our research spans the full translational pathway, which is reflected in the multidisciplinary nature of our team. Radio 3D is a recently awarded project under Prostate Cancer UK\xe2\x80\x99s Research Innovation Awards.
The study aims to better understand and treat radio-resistant and radio-recurrent prostate cancer, through the use of cutting edge 3D modelling techniques, and the recruitment of a unique pre- and post-radiation patient cohort.
We are now looking to recruit an excellent clinical fellow to work on the clinical study. This post reports directly to Radio3D grant holder Dr Susan Heavey and co-Is, Prof Caroline Moore, and Associate Professor John Withington.
About the role
The post holder will assist Dr Heavey and Prof Moore with projects across the Radio3D study. They will have a particular focus on the identification and recruitment of relevant patients, clinical data collection and interpretation, and will work with the Radio3D non-clinical team, with the opportunity to engage with laboratory work, with no previous lab experience necessary.
The applicant will be encouraged to apply for a UCL PhD based on the Radio3D work, funding for UK/Home applicants will be covered by the Radio3D project.
The post is funded for 3 years and is available immediately, the start date is negotiable. The maximum salary available is \xc2\xa336,999 plus \xc2\xa34,500 London Allowance per annum.
The post holder will be required to undertake a DBS check and Occupational Health check prior to commencing the role.

About you
Applications are invited from candidates who are enthusiastic about conducting clinical research in the NHS.
Candidates must have a medical qualification and a track record of scholarly publication in the field of Urology or Oncology.
Experience of seeing localised prostate cancer patients in the NHS is essential.
Candidates will be committed to carry out high quality original research in an NHS setting, leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Membership of the relevant Royal College is desirable.
