Compass Associates are extremely proud to be working with an award-winning Private Surgical Hospital located in Sheffield. They have 64 private en-suite rooms, an on-site pharmacy, a modern physiotherapy gym and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging facilities housed in their dedicated scanning centre. Some specialities they offer include orthopaedics, dermatology, gynaecology, urology, cancer care, general surgery, cosmetic surgery and paediatrics.

This is a full-time role consisting of 37.5 hours per week, covering a flexible shift pattern. The pharmacy is open Monday-Saturday (no nights). On call unsocial hours including weekends on a rotational basis.

Job Responsibilities

• Utilise pharmaceutical expertise to contribute to patient care within the hospital, assisting the pharmacy department in delivering a high-quality medicine management service to all customers
• Oversee the procurement, preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines, while providing guidance to junior staff members in delivering the medicine management service
• Take responsibility for identified clinical services
• Facilitate the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring the provision of a safe and effective medicines management service for patients, staff, consultants, and customers

Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy MPharm, BSc or BPharm.
• GPhC registered
• Must have minimum 3 years post registration experience
• Experience working within a hospital environment desirable
• Experience in Oncology Pharmacy desirable.
