Clinical Pharmacist

Nottingham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

About us

Trust Pharmacy is a leader in the field. We employ around 150 staff and provide a range of pharmacy services to patients with often complex and specialist needs. Located at Nottingham City Hospital Nottingham Treatment Centre and the Queens Medical Centre, Trust Pharmacy operates seven days a week from three busy dispensaries.

Unusually positioned as a registered company and as a subsidiary to a public sector organisation, Trust Pharmacy seeks to maximise the opportunities to adapt and innovate for the benefit of its patients. As a forward-thinking organisation we seek to be creative, improve and provide excellence in service delivery to our patients.

We are proud to be a diverse team who celebrate and value each employee as an individual. You can be sure of a comprehensive induction and training programme to ensure you feel included. However, the learning and development won't stop there. We offer plenty of opportunities for growth and progression to take your career to the next level.

The Role

Applicants must be registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and must hold the right to work in the UK.

With a blend of both community and hospital settings, Trust Pharmacy at Queens Medical Centre (QMC) is hiring!

This role is perfect for a pharmacist who is looking to transition to a hospital setting or expand their clinical knowledge and apply it each day in an outpatient setting, with a focus on patient safety and experience.

This role is suitable for newly qualified pharmacists, as well as pharmacists looking to transition from the community or GP sectors.

A permanent contract is available for both full-time and part-time pharmacists.

You will work as part of a team of pharmacists and act as the Responsible Pharmacist in a busy but supportive environment, alongside an experienced and friendly team, all while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Full training and support will be provided to ensure you can confidently practice and provide care to our diverse patient cohort, including Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Paediatrics, A&E, Rheumatology, and Immunology. While based at QMC, pharmacists will also have the opportunity to expand their clinical knowledge across our other sites at Nottingham Treatment centre and City Hospital.

Our aim is to provide the very best, efficient, safe, and friendly service, tailored to the needs of our customers. We are in a unique position and hold an NHS contract, enabling us to provide NHS Services to the community, such as EHC, Pharmacy First, and Covid Medication Delivery Service for Nottinghamshire.

As a clinical pharmacist, you will be responsible for the provision of exceptional professional pharmacy services. A comprehensive induction and onsite training will be provided, with ongoing training opportunities and exposure to clinical settings. You will help provide a consistently high-quality, accurate, safe, and timely patient experience.

Independent Prescribers will have the opportunity to apply these skills in clinical practice, and those without this qualification can be supported to gain it.

In addition, we offer a competitive salary, 5 weeks' paid holiday, a generous pension scheme, an annual performance bonus, attractive working hours, just one weekend shift every 4 weeks, a staff discount, GPHC fees reimbursement and the opportunity for progression.

Our pharmacies have excellent public transport links.
