About the role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a highly reputable hospital based in Guildford. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic outpatient pharmacy with a focus on patient care and working within a friendly and experienced team. The pharmacy services within the hospital provides all outpatients pharmacy services, as well as a range of over-the-counter medicines and additional services for hospital staff and visitors. Working as a Clinical Pharmacist within the team will allow you to expand your clinical knowledge within a diverse field of medicine with a particular focus on oncology.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Clinical Pharmacist and responsible for the following;
Be the responsible Pharmacist whenever appropriate
Assist the Superintendent Pharmacist in the service provision of the Pharmacy
Maintaining a high standard of service
Be accountable for providing safe and efficient pharmaceutical services to all services users
Carry out clinical checks of outpatient prescriptions including oncology patients
Accurately check prescriptions prior to hand out
Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of medicines
Responsible for supporting safe and efficient delivery outpatient services
Supervise pharmacy technicians, students, pre-registration graduates and supporting staff
Liaise with doctors, nurses and other members of the healthcare team in order to optimise the medical treatment of patients
Who we\'re looking for
Masters degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent)
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
GPHC registration with no restrictions
Postgraduate certificate in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
At least 2 years UK experience as a Clinical Pharmacist in the UK
Experience specialising in Oncology highly desirable
General hospital Pharmacist experience including clinical and technical roles in a range of specialities
Experience working in an aseptic dispensing environment
Experience of training and supervising staff

Person Specification: All applicants must be a Registered Pharmacist with a GPHC registration with no restrictions and full eligibility to live and work in the UK. At least 2 years post- graduate experience in the UK is also essential for this role.
