Our Healthcare team is a vibrant specialist department. We provide advice on all aspects of healthcare law, including clinical negligence, patient safety, consent to treatment, human rights, child law and mental health.
The ethos of the team is to work hard for our clients so that we secure the right outcome for them. In so doing we improve our technical skills and enhance our ability to meet the clients\' needs as they evolve.
The healthcare sector is fast moving and the challenge of working for our clients provides very interesting work. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to develop their own and our teams\' practices. We provide a supportive environment in which to work.
We will consider candidates from Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool and London.
The role includes include handling own caseload of Clinical Negligence claims
\xc2\xb7 Completing client MI procedures/databases
\xc2\xb7 Achieve set financial and chargeable hours targets
\xc2\xb7 Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and KPIs are adhered to
\xc2\xb7 Comply with relevant policies and procedures
\xc2\xb7 Work in accordance with Weightmans\' values

About You
You will have previous experience as a Paralegal and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have:
\xc2\xb7 Experience of handling Clinical Negligence, EL/PL or Motor claims in own name
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of CPR procedure with proven technical ability
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work to strict deadlines and timescales
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work to client SLA and KPIs
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
\xc2\xb7 Excellent written and organisation skills
\xc2\xb7 Excellent time management skills
