We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Wakefield, whilst supporting other branches. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to client care and demonstrate excellent clinical skills. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in overseeing our complex care clients, ensuring the well-being of clients while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties of the job include:
planning the long-term clinical development of your company with the support of registered manager.
You will be working alongside the registered manager as their deputy and taking a leadership role with in the clinical team.
completing and managing all complex care competency assessments and sign off,
You will deliver mandatory and complex care training to new staff and those who need refresher courses.
You will develop any training packages/lessons and also lead on gaining any training accreditations that may be required via external partners and educational / training bodies.
Build relationships with external adult training providers and also adult education providers.
You will help with onboarding new care packages from an administrative and field based preceptive where you will attend and ensure that care packages are safely implemented.
You will work with the registered manager to provide any clinical support or advice to staff delivering care.
Supervisory responsibilities will involve managing care staff and conducting supervisions and appraisals.
Field based staff supervisions and care delivery spot checks.
You will be attending MDT/ safeguarding, building relationships with clients/NOK and commissioners and there is the potential to develop an in-house training programme for care staff.
Working closely with all the department heads;
managing relationships with corporate partners;
attending meetings, conferences and marketing events;
managing budgets - mainly around training;
Writing care plans and risk assessments, along with the clinical team and reviewing them when needed;
Monitoring client well being and providing guidance and instruction to support care staff in the field.
Ensuring medication records and up to date.
Developing and leading activities for service users;
Keeping families up to date about their relatives' progress;
Training and mentoring new staff;
Attending team meetings with service managers;
Maintaining and adhering to all CQC guidelines for a Safe, Effective, Caring, Response and Well-lead service.
Facilitating training programmes to improve service delivery, knowledge and skills, efficiency, KPI achievement and overall employee engagement.
Conducting appraisal process incorporating 'smart' objectives while identifying developmental needs.
Implementing performance management metrics to ensure targeted, motivational and evidence-based monitoring.
Ensuring that all regulatory and legislative procedures are followed and maintaining all health, safety and environmental records.
Adhering to all safeguarding protocols in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding and the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
Monitoring ongoing compliance through scheduled and ad-hoc audits and assessments and effectively managing any quality issues or complaints ensuring auditable records maintained.
