Job Description

You will work within the CAMHS North Team Core Pathway Peterborough to support and lead on service improvement initiatives and provide effective clinical leadership and supervision to staff.



You will support developments within the Children, Young People and Families Directorate and partner agencies. You will promote and contribute to accessibility of the service, high quality evidence-based care, and efficient caseload management within the team.



The post holder will:



Collaborate with the Single Point of Access Team (SPA - YOUnited) effectively to improve access to the service.



Provide clinical leadership to colleagues across all areas of the team



Identify levels of clinical risk and prioritise accordingly and provide advice and leadership to staff.



Provide comprehensive and collaborative assessment to children, young people, and families.

Provide collaborative care plans and effective evidence-based intervention to children, young people, and families. This includes work specifically for the more complex case presentation.



Support, promote and further develop an assessment and treatment approach.



Provide clinical / professional supervision, and where appropriate, operational supervision, to staff in the team.



Undertake rostered Duty tasks on weekdays (9am-5pm), providing mental health risk assessment and care plans to children and young people presenting in crisis.



Support, promote and further develop the use of clinical outcome measures within the team.



Cultivate positive and collaborative relationships with related pathways, teams and services, in particular the Neuro CAMHS and Eating Disorders pathways, the substance use service (CASUS), YOUnited, Home Treatment Team (HTT), acute and Community Paediatrics and other child health services, Early Help services, emotional help & wellbeing services, schools, social care and the First Response Service (FRS).



Support and promote high quality record keeping, including care plan audit and activity recording.



Provide a leadership role alongside the Team Manager and other senior colleagues to monitor and report on activity, clinical capacity, service user feedback, compliance on supervision recording and appraisals, and compliance with mandatory training.



To support in the leadership and operational duties during Team Manager periods or absence such as leave, such as representation at identified meetings.
