About the client:



Located in Wrexham, our client is a dedicated hospice committed to providing compassionate end-of-life care and support to individuals and their families. With a focus on dignity, comfort, and personalized attention, the hospice offers a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each person. The highly skilled and empathetic team works tirelessly to create a warm, supportive environment where patients and their loved ones feel cared for, respected, and understood.

Hours of work:



Saturday 12:00 - 16:00

Sunday 12:00 - 16:00

Duties and Responsibilities:



Thoroughly disinfect and sanitise medical equipment, surfaces, and patient rooms. Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections. Properly handle and dispose of medical waste according to guidelines. Clean and sanitise public areas like waiting rooms, restrooms, and corridors. Perform specialised cleaning in critical areas like operating rooms. Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies in patient and public areas. Ensure cleaning equipment is well-maintained and functional. Communicate maintenance issues promptly to supervisors. Keep accurate records of cleaning activities for compliance. Adhere to health and safety guidelines, using PPE as needed. Respond to emergency cleaning situations effectively. Collaborate with cleaning and medical staff for a clean environment.

Requirements:



DBS REQUIRED BEFORE STARTING

Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or similar role Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks Good communication skills to report any issues or concerns to management
