Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage routes effectively, making it essential for the driver to have a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and operation.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries for the delivery of goods. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads as necessary. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle reliability.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably flat work. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks and minor repairs. Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems efficiently. A valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated, along with any necessary certifications for commercial driving.
