Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Recovery Specialist to join our Commercial Claims Team.

As a Claims Recovery Specialist, you will use your knowledge and expertise to support the recovery of a portfolio of complex recovery claims, monitor and control leakage, control indemnity spend and identify missed recovery opportunities.

You will also support the Claims wide upskill in respect of learnings and help identify and drive improvement opportunities for our people and system, as well as our financial and commercial outcomes.

You can be based locally to our offices (Bexhill or Leicester) with a hybrid approach between the office and home or for the right candidate, we can offer this role as fully homeworking.

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for monthly 2nd stage reviews relating to recovery abandonment and shortfall
• Identifying missed recovery opportunities, skills gaps and supporting technical development through coaching and communication
• Supporting the delivery of future Recovery process improvements
• Acting as a \'gatekeeper\' for all settled non-recovered claims with a view of upskilling our team through referral and mentoring
• Working with management to develop and deliver technical claims updates
• Working with our legal panel to identify areas of improvement including close monitoring of their abandoned recovery process and claims and identifying potential compliance issues for review
• Supporting the delivery of our recovery automation strategy
• Appropriate and prompt reserving in line with prospect of recovery for all claims worked
• Communicating via phone/written correspondence with the policyholder, keeping them updated of all material developments and maintaining portfolio of claims
