The IPC Group, a prominent player in the building development and insurance repair sector, is expanding its team and is on the lookout for a dedicated and driven Claims Handler to help us continue to grow and succeed.

The IPC Group operates in building development and insurance repair works, on behalf of national insurance companies.

Claims Handler
Location:
Eastbourne, UK. In-person (required)
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a 1/2-hour lunch break
Salary:
25,000 - 30,000 (depending on relevant experience)
Bonus Scheme:
If probation is successful a performance bonus will be applied.
The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to take initiative and prioritise daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role.
Responsibilities:
As a Claims Handler at The IPC Group, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Booking in works with operatives and arranging start dates and site visits.
Communicating with insurers for updates on claims and informing policyholders.
Managing material choices and ordering with our purchasing department.
General administration tasks, including email writing, form completion, and maintaining spreadsheets.
Customer and operative engagement to ensure smooth operations.
Handling calls and emails from various stakeholders.
Utilising insurance companies' systems and SharePoint for record-keeping.
Card payment handling.
Compliance with GDPR and Data Protection.
Skills:
Proficient in the use of I.T. especially able to competently use Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint & Outlook etc.
Professional telephone manner, confident receiving and making telephone calls.
Confident in dealing with customers as well as challenging customers.
Ability to take initiative.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to multitask.
Customer service skills.
Positive attitude towards staff members, customers, and contractors.
Teamwork- you will need to work closely with the management team, contractors, surveyors, and the rest of the admin team.
Card Payment handling.
Experience:
Administrative: 2 years (preferred)
Insurance work: 1 year (preferred)
Previous experience using Symbility, CoreLogic, XactAnalysis would be an advantage.
Qualifications:
BSc in Business, Accounting, Economics, Management, Law, Psychology or Similar (required)
