  • Ensuring inspection, maintenance and repair tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all work tasks are completed in a safe and professional manner.
  • Conducting repairs on tram stops, including tactile paving, blockwork, pedestrian crossings and tram stop furniture.
  • Maintaining and repairing drainage systems on and off track.
  • Painting and maintaining MML-owned structures.
  • Ensuring trackside vegetation remains outside determined hazard zones.
  • Assisting in the testing and commissioning of new systems.
  • Supporting the switching of electrical substations.
  • Assisting with other disciplines within the infrastructure department.
  • Working night shifts for maintenance and repair work as required by MML management.
  • On-call duties.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
  • Previous working knowledge and experience within landscaping and construction.
  • Previous experience in a relevant maintenance environment, ideally within civil infrastructure.
  • Experience in adhering to safety protocols and procedures in previous roles.
  • A GCSE Maths and English Grade C / 4 or above, or equivalent.
  • Recognised building and landscaping qualifications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Experience in successfully working as part of a team, supporting an effective decision-making process.
