Do you have civil design experience, and are you seeking a new job in Salford? Electricity North West is looking for a full-time Civil Design Technician, and the role comes with a salary of up to \xc2\xa355k and a generous benefits package.

Our role

As a Civil Design Technician, you will produce Civil Design technical information, including drawings and specifications across all voltages in accordance with all relevant technical standards and to the project programmes. You will also assist Design Engineers to ensure that projects progress efficiently, to time and cost.

In your first week in this Civil Design Technician role, you can expect to:

• Prepare scope of works, detailed civil drawings, specifications and designers risk assessments to enable civil construction at ENWL sites
• Produce planning drawings which are submitted to local councils, authorities and clients
• Prepare structural steel general arrangements and reinforced concrete rebar drawings and bending schedules
• Ensure all design work complies to relevant Code of Practices, Standards & Regulations and is fit for purpose.

To apply for this Civil Design Technician role, you will need an HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent and knowledge of Civil Designs for 132kV, 33kV and 11/6.6kV systems and substations, including switchgear, transformers, overhead and underground circuits. You will also require the following:

• Experience of CDM regulations and Health and Safety regulations
• Good team working and communication skills and the ability to work with a range of internal staff, partners, consultants and contractors
• Extensive knowledge of Autocad
• Full UK Drivers Licence.
