Role: Citrix Engineer

Location: UK - fully remote

Type: Full-time / direct hire

Main Responsibilities

Provides corporate computer users with microcomputer, local, and wide-area network support including connectivity and access to business information.

Provides users with suitable, cost-effective computer solutions to meet business requirements.

Maintains, optimizes, and performs capacity planning for all network servers and systems. Installs, configures, and maintains LAN software, performs LAN administration duties and LAN communications services.

Monitors and conducts performance evaluation of networks.

Instructs, directs, and checks the work of Network/Administrators/Engineers.

Define Citrix Desktop Virtualization, Virtual Workspace, and Application Delivery strategy and roadmap Design, implement and support enterprise-level Citrix environments Install, configure, and maintain Citrix servers and related systems Lead NetScaler implementations and configuration for networking, load balancing, and performance optimization Develop, document, and enforce the standards and controls to ensure integrity of the Citrix environment Identify opportunities to standardize, enhance, and automate existing processes.

Provide advanced technical consulting to internal teams for solution design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems with Citrix and related systems Serve as third level escalation for application support and troubleshooting Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies.

Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for Citrix and related systems.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills/Requirements:

Proven experience in information technology field

Bachelor s degree in computer science, mathematics or natural sciences preferred

One of the following Citrix certifications is preferred but not required:

Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer (CCEE), Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V); Citrix Certified Expert -Virtualization (CCE-V); Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N)

Experience in deploying and managing large Citrix environments with over 2000 concurrent users

Experience as Citrix Virtualization engineer/administration with responsibilities including roadmap design, assessments, architecture, planning, implementation and upgrades/migrations of Citrix Virtualization solutions

Experience with Windows Server OS, VMware ESX based virtualized server infrastructure, and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies

Experience with Citrix technologies, including CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.1811 or later), Citrix NetScaler, Web Interface/StoreFront, Citrix Provisioning and Machine Creation Services (MCS), App-V Integration, Citrix AppLayering, Citrix Workspace Environment Manager.

Experience in implementing end-to-end Citrix Desktop Virtualization, Virtual Workspace - Application Delivery solutions Possess a detailed understanding of architectural dependencies of Citrix technologies

Experience in configuring and managing complex Citrix environments containing XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, Storefront, Firewalls, and other supporting technologies

Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills

Ability to establish new standards for quality, performance or productivity

Self-motivated, with keen attention to detail and excellent judgment skills

Must have excellent writing and communication skills

Ability to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality

Must have the ability to identify and instill industry best practices

Ability to translate complex technical information into understandable business language.
