A superb, career opportunity has come open for a project officer with experience in a network communications , infrastructure background , working on a large defence contract near Watford. This key post is working on Skanska\'s Facilities Management contract in Northwood , a single site contract, where you will work with a team of networking specialists delivering a first class service to our on site customer.

You will :

• Project management of CIS change activities including Minor Works, Change Requests for the site CIS infrastructure and small Life Cycle tasks.
• Adhere to service specific strategies, systems & procedures for compliance with the contract requirements and mitigate operational risks.
• Manage and control the individual works budgets within delegated obligations including budget control, preparation of quotations.
• Liaise with the Authority and other service delivery teams for the delivery of works activities; provide technical advice and support on CIS related matters.
• In conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor ensure that all costs and variations are logged for final account purposes and that approved limits of liability are not exceeded.
• Manage and supervise specialist suppliers when engaged to carry out CIS-related works.
• Monitor suppliers and Skanska staff to ensure compliance with the Skanska IFE (Injury Free Environment) health and safety processes and procedures.
• Carry out quality assurance checks on all works and ensure that all required tests are completed and related documentation is issued in accordance with project timescales
• Provide operational support to the site CIS infrastructure services.

We need :

Essential

• Experience in similar role working in a communications and networking infrastructure environment.
• Experience of both fibre and copper based data / telecommunications networks.
• Experience of managing and delivering complex multi-disciplinary CIS and building services project works.
• Must be capable of fully satisfying relevant security clearance requirements for DV level and maintaining it.
• Excellent communication both written and verbal with excellent customer service.

Desirable

• HNC or equivalent in a CIS / Electrical / Data Telecommunications environment / discipline.
• Experience in and MOD CIS environment.
• MOD CIDA trained.
• Experience of working with and to JSP 604 leaflet 4800 and other relevant JSPs.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 and appropriate construction site safety training.
