Job Description

We are looking for a well organised individual to help us administer, collect and spend Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funds and to administer Section 106 legal obligations.

CIL and Section 106 are key mechanisms for ensuring development delivers community benefits in Rother, with over 2 million secured in funding each year to be spent on a range of projects. It is an exciting area to be involved in and the post would suit somebody with an interest in - or prior experience of - development and/or town planning. The post is based in a friendly and supportive team whilst Rother District itself is an attractive district with significant development pressures and wide variety, including beautiful landscapes, historic towns and villages and an attractive coastal town in Bexhill.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



Playing a key role in the Planning Policy Team through assisting the Principal CIL Officer by providing support for the management of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 funding. Helping to properly spend money on projects that deliver public benefit across the District. Undertaking all administration tasks related to the collection and management of CIL and Section 106 legal obligations. Working with planning officers and other stakeholders as necessary.
